Situated about 200 kilometers northwest of Riyadh in Shaqra's heritage village, the Al-Subaie Historic House stands as a remarkable architectural and political landmark. Erected in 1909, it operated as the treasury (Bayt al-Mal) during the reign of King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. Its significance is rooted not only in its heritage architecture, but also in its pivotal role as a royal residence for King Abdulaziz and a staging ground for preparing passing armies and receiving official delegations.
